The President’s Message Kingston and District is a branch on the move. The results of our first quarter telephone survey have permitted your executive team to fill a number of key positions to better serve our members. Attached is an updated organizational chart.
We are sad to announce that our membership director, Jim Etherington, had to step-down from his role due to a serious medical condition. We wish to thank Jim for his commitment and dedication to the accuracy of our membership records. Our thoughts and prayers are with him, his wife Stella, and their supportive family.
We are currently studying 2 proposals to establish our first FSNA Kingston and District office. As a volunteer organization, your executive team functions as a networking group from our individual homes with monthly meetings at the ‘Seniors Center’ in Kingston. As we have the financial capacity and a committed executive team, we believe, it is time to move to the next level.
On April 19th, the Westport “Outreach Luncheon” at the Cove Country Inn was very well attended with some 68 members coming from throughout the District. The next event will be our summer BBQ to be held on August 16th at Rideau Acres on Highway #15. We look forward to meeting and chatting with you. Please refer to the attached registration form.
A good number of our members have indicated that they are uncomfortable with driving after dark. If this is the case, and you would like to attend our functions, please let me know (613-546-4344); and, we will try to provide transportation from your area that is served by FSNA Kingston & District.
Kindly consider volunteering one hour a week on our telephone & transportation committees.
Thank you,
Jack Julian
