Hello to all;

Once again the warm weather is upon us; time for garden clean up and spring planting.

I would like to welcome back our past-president Jack Julian from his winter endeavours in the USA College scene. It will be nice to see him at our meetings once again.

I am sure by now all members are aware that our dental plan cost has gone down in premiums and that our health benefit plan has risen by a little bit. I would say this is a good balance and that National office is working hard on our members behalf.

We had our second "Out-reach Lunch" in Napanee in April and it was a great success with about 84 members attending and our guest was our Regional Deputy Director, Bevin Painter, who gave us a little insight into what National is doing for us.

Thanks to all who came and enjoyed their day with us, as I am sure that it was a great time for all.

Watch for info about July's outing in this branch report and send your coupon in early!!

 Planning is well underway to mark the 25th Anniversary of the founding of the Kingston Branch of the FSNA. 

 Over time, and for various reasons, we’ve lost touch with several of our members and we are again turning to our membership for help.  They may have moved and forgotten to notify us, gone into a retirement home or even passed on.  For whatever reason, their mail is being returned to us and we’ve been unable to locate them.  Listed below you will find the names and last known addresses of these members.  If you have any information as to what might have happened to these folks, I would appreciate a note, phone call or e-mail message.

It’s BBQ time again and for our “Summer ’06 BBQ”  we’ve

decided to return to one of our favourites places.

Rideau Acres Campground, 1014 Cunningham Rd., Kingston.

11:30 a.m.  Meet and Greet  . . . lunch at 12:00 noon

The menu will include your choice of steak or chicken, with potatoe salad, green salad and coleslaw, desert and tea or coffee – and   still!!  all for the

low, low   price of only $10.00 per person.

Please indicate your menu choice and mail the response form below as soon as possible.  

We must advise final numbers by the 9^th of July.  Please keep in mind, this is an outdoor activity, and dress appropriately for the weather.  There is a hall available should the weather be inclement, so it’s a go – rain or shine.  There are picnic tables available, however, I suggest you may also want to bring along a comfortable lawn chair.

Due to the fact we are on a camp ground, there will NOT be a bar available outside, (Ontario’s strange liquor laws???)  so you may wish to bring your own choice of cold beverage.(that’s legal!!)    
 
  
 Rideau Acres Campground is located approximately 2 kilometres north of highway 401 on highway 15.  Turn west onto Cunningham Road, follow the road past the brown barn, turn left just past the duck pond and look for all the happy people!
