The President’s Message
Before I get further ahead in my thoughts, I would like to thank our Past President, Jack Julian for all his hard work for our branch. As some of you know, Jack is on leave to work for Queen’s University for 6 months and he will stay in contact and return in the spring of 2006.
FSNA, Kingston Branch, has seen a lot of good changes in the recent past and our thanks go to Jack and Ron for looking into the future. Our branch office is now up and running and our phone is now working. Our Executive volunteer their time and can be reached at home or at the office.
In October we held a successful and very pleasant AGM. It was nice to see so many out. Once again, our thanks to Mino’s for a job well done!
As Ron Henderson, our Vice-President announced at the AGM, the year 2007 is our branch’s 25th anniversary. We are planning many events during the whole year and we need volunteers to help plan the events. If you have the time or can make the time, please call Ron at 544-0663; he’s waiting to hear from you.
Our branch continues to work in finding new members, if you know some folks who would like to join in and have some good times as we continue to work with our National Office for a successful conclusion in protecting our Pensions and our Public Health Care Plan, give our Membership director, Donna a call and she will contact them.
As I close, I wish you all a great fall & winter and a very happy holiday season.
