This year (2007) we will have an FSNA representative at the Wilton ceremony, however, the Executive will be attending and laying a wreath, on behalf of the branch membership at the ceremonies being held at the Army, Navy, Air Force Club, 317 Gore Rd, Kingston. All members are welcome to attend. Ceremony begins at 11:00 a.m. Spectators should arrive not later than 10:30. In past years, members of the Kingston and District Branch Board of Directors have attended Remembrance Day ceremonies, at the Cross of Sacrifice in Kingston, and have laid a wreath on behalf of all members of the branch.
This year (2006), we have made arrangements with the Lions Club of Odessa and District, to attend the Memorial Ceremonies in Wilton. These Ceremonies will pay particular homage to the sacrifices made by Military Police and as a result a large Military Police presence is expected.

In Flanders Fields
In Flanders Fields the poppies blow
Between the crosses row on row,
That mark our place; and in the sky
The larks, still bravely singing, fly
Scarce heard amid the guns below.
We are the Dead. Short days ago
We lived, felt dawn, saw sunset glow,
Loved and were loved, and now we lie
In Flanders Fields.
Take up our quarrel with the foe:
To you from failing hands we throw
The torch; be yours to hold it high.
If ye break faith with us who die
We shall not sleep, though poppies grow
In Flanders Fields.
John McCrae
